Solid Modeling Semco Engineers utilize solid modeling CAD software to build the components and assemblies for your project. This process establishes and confirms that all components fit the required parameters within the design. The solid models are used by the component manufacturers for their programming needs in CAM software or mold design.
Engineering Drawings The solid models are then used to produce dimensions and tolerances on dimensioned drawings for documenting the designs.
Short Run Prototypes Semco uses 3-D printing to confirm fits in solid parts. Functional prototypes are provided before any metal is cut on tooling or expensive machined parts.
Sourcing Semco maintains an approved list of highly qualified US based sources to insure top quality production products. Your project can be fully sourced for component parts and Semco will provide assembly to deliver finished assemblies in efficient production quantities.
Vacuum Forming Semco typically vacuum forms vinyl or urethane film in thicknesses up to .030 in. These are components which comprise an airtight cover for our inflatable, adjustable seat cushions and seat back cushions.
More rigid vinyl sheets can also be formed using this process.
Radio Frequency Welding The vacuum formed film is welded to enclose the airtight chamber for the seat cushions, however it can be sealed around any material to form such things as binder covers.
Ultrasonic Welding We can weld together rigid plastic components for more structural applications. Include Motor Housings, Switch cases or any components which need to be permanently welded together.
